Artist Bio:
Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers was a Jamaican reggae band formed in 1979 by the children of reggae legend Bob Marley. The band members included Ziggy Marley, Stephen Marley, Sharon Marley, and Cedella Marley. The group released their debut album, "Play the Game Right," in 1985, and went on to achieve commercial success with their 1988 album "Conscious Party," which won a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.

Throughout the 1990s, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers continued to release albums and tour internationally, gaining a reputation for their socially conscious lyrics and infectious reggae rhythms. The band's most successful album, "One Bright Day," was released in 1989 and featured the hit single "Tomorrow People." Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers disbanded in the early 2000s, with Ziggy Marley pursuing a successful solo career while his siblings pursued their own musical ventures.
